About this game

If you play more than one of my Ancient Games, I suggest you delete the individual apps and install the main one (Ancient Games). It will allow you to play them all and save disk storage.

The past is full of fascinating board games that haves been mostly forgotten. The Ancient Games collection aims to resurrect them as a meticulously crafted mix between what a player wants from an historical game and what he/she expects of a modern application.

-Play against the IA, friends and random players from around the world.
-Play Online & Offline.
-Multiple collectibles : boards, game pieces, dice, nameplates, etc.
-Challenges (Fun rule variants)
-Free cloudsave across the collection : your progress in one game is available in all the others.
-Much more features to come!
-Languages : English, French, Portuguese, Italian, Arabic, Spanish, German, Simplified Chinese, Traditional Chinese and Russian.

Currently, the collection is comprised of four games : the Royal Game of Ur, Senet, XII Scripta and Puluc, but 40 games are in the works!
Each game will be added to the Ancient Games app and will have its own individual app as well.

Update: It appears to be a hiccup in the ad engine display. One out of every twenty or so games seems to successfully load an ad, then things progress normally. ------- Fun enough, but after every game, I have to force close the app. The words "Game Over" appear, then fade out. Then the blank background image is the only thing shown until force closed.

The app is designed well and the game is interesting, and frustrating, as a lead can fall apart with a few good rolls of the dice. I'm subtracting a star because the advertisement after each game begins to be quite annoying. It's worth noting that if you play the game enough, there is a feature to remove the ads but it will take a long time to unlock it. Unless you spend cash to unlock it.

Glad you like the app :) Advertisements can be annoying I agree, but they are the reason I can make well-designed and interesting apps because it takes time and money. There is only one (skipable) ad after a 15+ minutes game and never during gameplay. Compared to most free games, I believe this is reasonable.

Sadly, ruined by the update. There was no way to retrieve my history and profile from the prior version (which should have been automatic), and the alternate rules were eliminated. One thing that continues from the older version is the insane idea that a "new" game board or pieces are relevant in any way. Probably the least beneficial update I've ever experienced with an app. I'll play it every once in a while to see if the developer comes to his senses, but otherwise it'll have to go.

You can get your progress back by clicking on already have an account and entering your old email. Email me directly, I'll do it for you. The alt rules are coming back soon, they are only disabled because of a major bug. Not sure I understand the part about the new boards. New (optional) skins are a pretty common thing in games.
